Limiting Beliefs

The new year often brings a wave of inspiration, and we may feel invigorated by everyone’s new year resolutions. We jump on the train of new experiences, ready to tackle long-delay goals.

This week, let’s remind ourselves to slow down, live in the moment, and create memories.

Sensory Overwhelm During the Holidays

The excitement (or stress) from the holidays often brings a flood of sensory input that can quickly become overwhelming. Bright overhead lights, loud holiday music, children screaming with excitement, carts clattering in the store, crowded aisles, and toys wiggle-dancing on the shelves with flashing lights—that’s a lot to process.

Sensory overwhelm happens when our brains receive more input than they can process. This week, let’s explore ways to manage sensory overwhelm so we can enjoy this time of year without the overload.
