Therapy Intensives for Deep, Focused Healing

Sometimes weekly therapy isn’t enough. Therapy intensives offer a powerful way to dive deeper, move through stuck places, and reconnect with yourself. At your own pace.

What Are Therapy Intensives?

Therapy intensives are extended, personalized sessions that allow you to work deeply without the stop-and-start of traditional weekly therapy. Whether you’re feeling stuck, wanting to accelerate your progress, or exploring a specific theme, intensives create space for sustained focus and transformation.

Therapy intensives can stand alone or complement ongoing weekly work. Many clients choose intensives as a meaningful adjunct to their existing therapy, much like how clients utilize Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) with us. They’re ideal for creating momentum, shifting long-held patterns, or working through something that feels “bigger” than the 50-minute format allows.

Our intensives are rooted in somatic psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and nervous system regulation practices. Every session is co-created with your goals and your nervous system in mind.

Ready to Go Deeper?

Let’s talk. We’ll start with a free 20-minute consultation to learn about your needs and explore if a therapy intensive is a good fit.

There’s no pressure – just presence, care, and clarity.

A therapy intensive is a focused, extended therapy session that offers several hours of uninterrupted time to dive deep into a specific issue, emotional process, or stuck pattern. Unlike traditional weekly sessions, intensives give your nervous system space to settle in, stay present, and move through what’s ready to shift. They are especially helpful for clients who feel like they need “more than the hour allows.”

Each intensive includes:

  • A 1-hour preparation session (via Zoom)

  • A thorough intake questionnaire to help clarify your goals and intentions

  • A 3 to 4-hour intensive session (in-person or virtual) a personalized container created around your nervous system, needs, and goals.

  • A 1-hour integration session about 1–2 weeks later

  • PDF Integration Workbook

Weekly therapy is powerful, but it can feel slow when you’re facing a specific block, transition, or internal overwhelm. Intensives offer concentrated time to move through deeper material without rushing, and allow for nervous system regulation, spacious integration, and real-time shifts.

Many of our clients use intensives to complement their ongoing weekly therapy, or to reconnect with themselves after a period of burnout, trauma, or emotional disconnection.

Yes. Intensives work beautifully as adjunct support. With your consent, we can coordinate with your primary therapist to ensure your care remains aligned and integrated. You’ll leave your intensive with clear takeaways to continue processing in your ongoing therapy, if desired.

Intensives are ideal for:

  • Trauma healing (developmental, relational, or acute)

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Processing grief, heartbreak, or life transitions

  • Releasing burnout and reconnecting with self

  • Clarifying next steps in life, work, or relationships

  • Gaining traction when therapy has stalled

Both. You can book:

  • In-person intensives in Central New York. Ask for accommodation suggestions!

  • Virtual intensives over secure Zoom – just as spacious and effective in the comfort of your own space.

  • Travel intensives or destination sessions (case-by-case, by request)

While it’s a premium investment, intensives often lead to breakthroughs that might take months in weekly therapy. That means less time looping in sessions, and more time actually living the life you want!

Our most popular intensive is $1,500, which includes:

  • Prep session

  • thorough pre-intensive questionnaire to help clarify your goals and intentions

  • 3-hour intensive

  • Integration session

  • PDF Integrations Workbook

Extended or travel-based intensive fees are available upon request. Payment plans may be available.

Taking time to slow down, be mindful, and attend to your food and media consumption can be very effective preparation.

We will schedule a consulation to see if we are a good fit for each other.

After your consultation, you will receive our office paperwork and an intake form. When that is completed, we’ll schedule a 1-hour prep session where we’ll clarify your goals, walk through logistics, and support your nervous system’s readiness.

You’ll also receive a pre-work questionairre with prompts to help you clarify your needs and intentions, and to verbalize a core issue that needs our attention.

Therapy intensives are not appropriate for clients in active crisis, including suicidal ideation, self-harm, or destabilized emotional states. If you are currently in acute distress, weekly therapy or crisis stabilization is a better starting point. We’re happy to revisit intensive work once you’re feeling more resourced.
