I am so glad you are here! It is a big step to ask for help, and you are in the right place. For more than three decades, I have walked alongside children and families as they face the stressors and struggles that life brings. My hope is that when you and your child come into session, you leave with a sense of relief, new tools to connect, and a glimmer of hope that change is possible. My goal is always to help your child and your family feel more confident, supported, and connected.

Area of Focus

Autism & ADHD in Young Children ~ I specialize in supporting children ages 3–6 and their families as they navigate new diagnoses and developmental differences. Early intervention and playful connection can set the stage for resilience, confidence, and lifelong learning.

Attachment & Early Relationships ~ For children with attachment challenges or early relational disruptions, I use play as a safe and creative way to help them build trust, express emotion, and strengthen their bond with caregivers.

Parent Support & Family Connection ~ I believe parents are their child’s most important partners in healing. I help parents learn how to follow their child’s lead in play while still feeling empowered themselves. This creates space for joy, reduces stress, and strengthens positive, everyday interactions.

My Approach

As a Pre-K specialist and play therapist, I see play as the essential building block of healthy development. Play allows children to regulate emotions, expand attention, build confidence, and strengthen relationships. In sessions, I create immersive play experiences where both children and parents become part of a story, practicing new ways of interacting that can be carried home.

I help parents discover how to meet their children at their level—following their lead without losing their own role. This approach opens new avenues for expression and healing while empowering children and parents alike. My practice is grounded in Bowen Family Systems Theory, Internal Family Systems, Trauma Theory, and inspired by the pioneering play therapy work of Dr. Garry Landreth and Dr. Eliana Gil.

Qualifications

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I have worked for decades as a child and family advocate, Pre-K specialist, and play therapist. My areas of specialty include autism, ADHD, attachment issues, anxiety, trauma, and developmental challenges in young children. My training integrates Family Systems, Trauma-Informed Care, and Play Therapy.

My Ideal Client

My ideal clients are families with young children who may be struggling with attention, developmental differences, or attachment concerns. Parents often come to me after feeling overwhelmed by the stress of a new diagnosis or by the daily challenges of helping their child manage big emotions. These parents are ready to learn playful, positive ways to connect with their child and to see their relationship flourish.

Personal Information

I believe play is not only essential for children, but also a lost art for all of us. Many of us have forgotten how to be comfortable, free, and genuine in play. Even in schools, children don’t get enough time for it, and as adults, we often fail to create space for playful experiences. Yet play is what keeps us learning, growing, and connecting—and when it is missing, families and social bonds can suffer. Throughout my career, I have been a strong advocate for children and families, building community support for early childhood development. I am often described as playful, compassionate, and steady—qualities I bring to every session. I love creating opportunities for children and parents to laugh, explore, and discover together, and I believe deeply that when children feel understood and empowered, families grow stronger.
