We are bringing it back to basics this week and asking sincere questions about what is therapy? And, since so many of us are currently home and online, what is telehealth? Taking it a step further, why are these questions important?

Traumatic events can have long-lasting effects on us. For some, this may look like PTSD at different severities. For others there can be more subtle changes in thoughts, behavoirs and actions. This week we are taking a look at our trauma in our life effects our brains and how we can foster healing.

Attachment Styles refer to the way each individual relates to others. We form our attachement styles early in life and they continue to play a role in our adult interactions. By taking the time to learn more, you may be able to understand yourself better and improve your relationships

This week we are diving into Communication Skills. The importance of practicing this skill, how we can improve, and how becoming a better listener plays a big role.

We have all heard about the negative effects of technology in regards to mental health. Although we have no intentions of disputing any of that and are strongly for technology breaks or screen free time, we also want to offer some positivity in the world of technolgy. There are, in fact, quite a few helpful mental health tools that we would like to discuss today.

. This week we are talking about the impact of various cycles on us all.

It has not been easy to maintain friendships throughout this pandemic. Yet, whether it is 1 person or 2 or 12, it is clear that making the effort is well worth it. In fact, it may be one of the best things you can do for your overall wellness.
It has been proven that healthy friendships can Increase your sense of belonging and purpose. Good friends have a huge impact on our mental health and happiness. They can help relieve stress, provide comfort and joy, improve your self-confidence and your self-worth.

How we feel about, talk about, nourish and move our bodies matters. We are surrounded by a society that allows/promotes many making a profit off of us not feeling good about our bodies. Diet culture is everywhere and it’s just not helping anyone.
This week we want to talk about the alternative. What would it look like..how would it feel…how would you show up in the world….how would you show up for yourself….if you were at peace with your body?

This week’s newsletter is meant to do two things.
1 – Challenge the belief that we either have the creative gene/spark….or we don’t. What if every one of us is creative and we only need to tap into it?
2 – Share the benefits of creativity to nourish our own mental health.
