Art Therapy is used to improve overall well-being and foster a connected sense of self. Art Therapy can improve cognitive and sensory-motor functions, self-esteem and self-awareness and emotional resilience. And, has been effective in treating a wide range of mental health concerns. Art therapy promotes insight and self compassion, enhances social skills, reduces and resolves conflicts and distress.  Art therapy can also help to express thoughts, feelings and emotions that may be difficult to verbalize. Art therapy provides a safe container to help process these difficult thoughts, feelings and emotions.  Art therapy engages the mind, body, and spirit in ways that are distinct from just talk therapy.
