Therapist

Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for support is a brave and important step, and I want you to know that you’re in the right place. I truly believe that therapy can be a healing process, whether you’re navigating everyday challenges or working through heavier experiences.

I offer both telehealth and in-person sessions in Syracuse, NY, so we can connect in a way that feels most comfortable for you.

Area of Focus

I enjoy working with young adults/adults or elders who are dealing with anxiety, panic attacks, grief, caregiving, or neurodivergence. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where we can build a trusting relationship. Together, we’ll explore creative coping skills that are tailored just for you, helping you find what works best in your life.

ADD/ADHD: I also have a special place in my heart for those who are neurodivergent, particularly individuals with ADD/ADHD. My experience in this area helps me connect deeply with my clients, offering the understanding and support they need. I am passionate about helping neurodivergent individuals because they often face unique challenges, such as sensory sensitivities, difficulties with social interaction, executive functioning issues, and mental health struggles. These challenges are compounded by societal misunderstanding and stigmatization, making it harder for neurodivergent individuals to navigate traditional educational and workplace environments. By providing tailored support and understanding, I aim to empower my clients to embrace their strengths, manage their challenges, and thrive in a world that may not always be accommodating to their needs.

Grief: As a therapist, I am deeply committed to helping individuals through grief because it is such a profoundly challenging experience that affects every part of a person’s life. Grief brings intense and unpredictable emotions, often leaving people feeling isolated and misunderstood. It can disrupt daily life, impact physical health, and even alter one’s sense of identity and worldview. I aim to provide the understanding, support, and guidance needed to navigate this difficult journey, helping my clients find their way through the pain and begin to heal.

Caregivers: I am dedicated to supporting caregivers because their role is incredibly demanding, often leading to stress, burnout, and emotional exhaustion. Caregiving requires constant attention, leaving little time for self-care and personal well-being. The emotional toll of caring for a loved one, coupled with a myriad of feelings can be overwhelming. I aim to provide caregivers with the support and resources they need to manage these challenges, helping them find balance, preserve their well-being, and continue their vital role with strength and resilience.

Working with older adults and caregivers is also close to my heart. I’ve spent over 6 years in senior living environments, and I’ve been a caregiver myself from a young age, so I deeply understand the challenges. I’m especially familiar with Alzheimer’s Disease and the impact it has on families. My mission is to empower and support caregivers, offering not just empathy but practical resources to help lighten their load.

My Approach

I bring a compassionate, thoughtful approach to therapy, using techniques like gestalt therapy, grief work, interpersonal therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also love incorporating EFT Tapping and mindfulness to create a safe, nurturing space where healing can truly happen.

Qualifications

I hold a limited permit for Mental Health Counseling in New York State, under the supervision of Meghan M. Tobin, LMHC.

My Ideal Client

I believe in the power we all have to heal and grow, even when things feel tough. My ideal client is someone who’s ready to make changes, willing to put in the effort and practice self-care. I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Personal Information

I’m a creative and empathetic person, and that creativity flows into everything I do. Whether it’s sketching, painting, or simply finding new ways to connect with my clients, I love bringing a personal touch to my work. I’m also a huge animal lover—my dream is to have six dogs someday! When I’m not working or spending time with my pets, you might find me diving into marine biology just for fun. I have a deep love for the ocean and its incredible creatures, but I also find peace in the woods, especially in Autumn when nature’s beauty is at its peak.
