Hygge, pronounced hue-guh, is a Scandanavian word describing a way of life that embraces simplicity, being cozy and being connected with friends and family. I learned of this concept a few years ago and assumed it was a few things you do, like drink tea and cuddle up by a fire when it is cold outside. Upon further investigation, I realized that it is actually a lifestyle and mindset which encourages pleasure in simple things. Read on for more about this Danish way of life.
