If you are feeling a low rumble of anxiety or a heaviness that you just can't put your finger on, you are not alone. So many of us are feeling new or worsening symptoms as we walk through the collective trauma and stress Covid has brought.

There is actually a name for it now: Pandemic Flux Syndrome. When everything is constantly up in the air and we don't know when the end will be - when things are in flux - our nervous systems get over-taxed. Hear more about this in Brene Brown's podcast with Amy Cuddy.

We are not designed to be in sustained overdrive.

It crushes our resiliency zone.

This is the zone where we can handle what comes our way, manage disappointment, roll with life's ups and downs. When this zone gets squeezed, it takes less to knock us out into Fight, Flight, or Freeze - the stress response. I would venture to guess that most of us have experienced a decrease in our resiliency zones over the past 18 months. Here are some ideas to create some space so we can manage pandemic flux and increase our zones of resilience!
