...
In our busy, modern world, you may not have ample opportunity to connect with nature. If you work in an office or building all day, you might miss the calming green of nature.

This week, let's dive into the green spaces and bring them back into our lives. With the warm spring air, you might already be inviting plants into your home. Whether you are an aspiring plant parent or just looking to add a touch of nature into your home, let's create serene, verdant spaces in our homes (or offices, too!).

Let's breathe new life into our spaces!

The Idea of the Week

Green space refers to spaces that contain vegetation, which may include trees, flowers, shrubs, and plants.

Green spaces are not confined to the country and rural areas. We can find green spaces in cities, such as lush green parks, garden rooftops, or communal gardens and greenhouses.

Plus, you can add green spaces to your home, office, and the spaces you occupy! Read on to find out how to bring these green spaces into your life.

The Practice of the Week

Our challenge for you this week is to invite green spaces into your home. The collection of resources below shares plants you can search for to add to your home or office and liven up your space.

If you have a pet, please check if the plant is harmful or toxic to your pet before you buy it! You can always google the plant before buying, and here is a quick 4-minute article on How to Tell if a Plant is Toxic to Pets Before You Buy It. But always google it to double-check!

Let’s start easy and simple. In this first 8-minute video, the Crazy Plant Guy shares 5 Easy House Plants for Beginners. These plants are simple to care for (so it’s okay if you forget a watering cycle!) and look pretty in your home.

Plus, here are another 5 Easy Houseplants for Beginners, a 10-minute video from jnaydaily. (If you find it hard to keep your plants alive, jnaydaily says these are easy houseplants that even you can keep alive!).

In a 25-minute video, The Jungle Haven on YouTube shares 10 Fast Growing Easy Indoor Plants that you could decorate your home with. The Jungle Haven channel has an abundance of resources on indoor gardening and plants, so feel free to check out their other videos as well for more inspiration!
