Welcome!  Whether you are thinking about starting therapy for the first time or have decided to begin again with someone new, I know it can be a bit nerve-wracking.  I know because I have been there!  Deciding to work with a counselor years ago was one of the biggest (and also one of the best) decisions I have ever made.  Therapy changed the course of my life for the better in so many ways.  It can for you too.  It would be a privilege to walk with you on your own healing journey.

Focus Areas

Every person is unique.  We have different past experiences that have shaped our current life circumstances.  Therefore, my approach is not “one size fits all”.  To meet the needs of every client, I blend traditional talk therapy with a variety of other therapeutic tools to tailor your treatment to your unique situation and needs.  In a safe and productive way, I help clients to examine past and current issues and discover their personal strengths to create the futures they desire.

I accept and appreciate each client for exactly who you are, where you have been, and where you want to go.  We will work together in a collaborative partnership to achieve your goals.  I help you connect with their true selves through self-reflection, self-awareness, and self-acceptance.

Personal Information

I live in Syracuse, New York with my husband of over 20 years and our teenage son.  I also have two fur babies: the best dog on the planet, a yellow lab named Willy, and a gray tiger cat named Zelda, who thinks she is also a yellow lab! In my previous life I was a teacher, and I have experience teaching kindergarten through college.  Things that give me pure joy are traveling, learning new languages and cultures, cooking, painting, singing, swimming, trying new restaurants, dancing, the ocean, listening to hard rock and heavy metal.
